Jennifer Chang, B.Ed., MBA
Jennifer is a certified member of Ontario Teacher College, who graduated with a
Bachelor of Education from Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (OISE), University
of Toronto,. Jennifer is not only a passionate educator who loves teaching and working
with students and families, but a visionary business woman who dares to think big.
She co-founded Toronto Mandarin School in 2001, and played an invaluable role in
establishing the school as the leading language institute that specializes in Mandarin
language teaching and Chinese culture training in North America.

Susan Xiong, B.A.
Susan has over 10 years experience in education in both China and Canada. Through
her years of managing a language school in China and the time spent in classrooms
at public schools in Canada, Susan has developed great insight into the education
of young minds, especially the learning of languages and cultures. Susan co-founded
Toronto Mandarin School and made the school a great place to learn the Chinese language
and culture. Her expertise in education and her attention to details have enabled
her to play an important role in the development of the school.

Amy Hong, B.A. M.Ed.
Amy is a language expert and a reputable researcher and scholar in the area of foreign
language studies. She has more than 15 years of adult language teaching experience
in colleges, private schools and universities, Amy has developed a very unique and
effective method of teaching language. Graduated from Dalian Foreign Language Institute
with an undergraduate degree in Linguistics and a Master of Arts in multi-linguistic
and multicultural communication, Amy also earned a Master of Education from Seoul
National University in South Korea. She has trained many language teachers and led
several international educational programs in China, Korea and Canada.

Vivian Chen, ECE, B. Ed.
Vivian is a certified Mandarin teacher with over 15 years teaching experience in
Shanghai, China and has won many awards for her excellence in teaching. She also
graduated from Seneca College with a ECE diploma. Vivian is very dedicated to knowing
her students and respecting their differences in order to meet their individual
needs. She creates an interactive classroom with many age-appropriate activities
that stimulate students' interest in learning. She loves to sing and students enjoy
learning many Chinese songs from her.

Sandy Shen, ECE, B.Ed.
Sandy graduated with a Bachelor of Education from a university in China and holds
a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Centennial College, Toronto, Sandy has
more than 10 years' teaching experience in China, Singapore and Canada. She is very
creative in designing lessons and has a thorough understanding of second language
teaching methodology. Sandy shows great interest in her students and provides them
with many hands-on activities to stimulate their interest in learning.

Jason Jia, MA, BA
Jason is a dedicated educator with more than 10 years teaching experience in China,
New Zealand and Canada. He graduated with an honors degree in Chinese Language and
Literature from Guangzhou University. He taught foreign students Chinese language
and literature for six years at the reputable Jinan University, China, where he
developed great insight into and effective teaching strategies for teaching Mandarin
to westerners. Jason is fluent in Mandarin, English, and Cantonese. He has a broad
range of interests including sports and investment analysis.

Sarah Cheng, B.Ed.
Sarah is beloved by her students for her creativity and enthusiasm in teaching.
A certified Mandarin teacher from mainland China with over 10 years teaching experience,
Sarah was also a children’s drama and performance arts teacher and has won many
awards for her excellence in teaching and her contribution to children's art in
China. She creatively integrates her passion and talent for performance arts and
drama into her Mandarin classes and makes learning more fun than ever.

Jinbo Wang, ECE, B. Ed.
Jinbo is a member of the Early Childhood Education Association. She graduated with
a Bachelor of Education from Beijing Teachers College, and an Early Childhood Education
Diploma from Seneca College, Toronto. Jean has won many national and regional rewards
for excellence in teaching in China. She helped develop the national early years
Mandarin literacy programs for children 2-5 years old. Jean is also a children visual
arts teacher with many years experience teaching young children creative drawing
and painting.

Jun, a long-time staff member with Toronto Mandarin School and well loved by students
for her calm and crystal-clear teaching style. As a certified Mandarin teacher with
over 15 years experience in both China and Canada, Jun has developed extensive knowledge
and skills in teaching Chinese language and literacy to all age groups and won many
awards for excellence in teaching in China. Jun has high expectations of her students
and understands their different needs, motivating them to do better.

Helen graduated with a Bachelor of Education in Chinese Literature and History.
She is a certified Mandarin teacher and has taught Mandarin in China, Hong Kong
and Canada for more than 10 years. Helen is experienced in teaching both children
and adults. She is very creative in using computers and innovative techniques to
enhance student leaning, so her classroom is always interesting and stimulating.
She is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.

Xinchen graduated with a B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature from Soochow University,
China. As a certified Mandarin teacher for teaching Chinese as a second language,
Xinchen has worked as a Mandarin trainer for foreign expatriates and also as a radio
station host in China before he immigrated to Canada. He is very knowledgeable in
Chinese language and history and would like to share his passion for Chinese language
and culture.

Yu graduated with a Bachelor of Education and worked as an ECE teacher and elementary
school teacher for eight years in China. After she came to Canada, Yu also obtained
her diploma in Early Childhood Education from Seneca College and has been working
as an ECE teacher in several childcare centres . She loves working with young children
and encourages her students to learn by playing.

Anna graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Literature, and was a reputable
journalist and anchor in Thailand and China. Anna was also a welcome lecturer in
several universities in Thailand, teaching Chinese language and culture. She also
taught foreign professionals and their families working and living in Asia for many
years. Anna is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and Thai.

and literature education from Northeast Normal University, China, Lydia was the
head teacher at an international school before she immigrated to Canada. She has
developed very effective methods in addressing the specific needs of students learning
Mandarin as a second language, to ensure that students can actually “speak” in Mandarin.

Laura has over 8 years experience in second language teaching. She is an enthusiastic,

can learn and thrive in a learning environment that is stimulating. Laura understands

speaking child can actually enjoy and succeed.

Jenny graduated with a B.A. from Beijing Broadcast Institute and also holds a Master’s
Degree in Media Practice from the University of Sydney, Australia. Working in China's
national media for more than 10 years as an editor and broadcaster, she demonstrates
strong communication skills in both oral and writing of Mandarin Chinese. Jenny
is also talented in drama, acting, singing and painting and creatively incorporates
these skills into her programming and made the class dynamic and engaging. This
is why her students feel that learning Chinese is fun, “Bu Tai Nan” ( not difficult
as they thought).

Evelyn Chen, B. Ed, ECE
Graduated from Teachers’ College in China, Evelyn taught English to a group of elementary
students and has been working at Toronto Mandarin School for three years. She is
now pursuing her degree in Early Childhood Education at Ryerson University, Toronto.
Evelyn demonstrates genius interest in students learning and thoroughly understands
how a new language is learned. Her class is lively, interactive and fun. Students
are confident to speak and enjoy learning every second!
